Lots of people strive to build the fabled authority website, or blog, in whatever niche they are operating in. There are many rewards that come when your site has been established as being an authority. However, it’s not something that can happen overnight. There is a lot of careful planning and thought that is inherent with an authority site.
By no means is it too late to start using the power of social sites such as Twitter and Facebook. Both of those sites, Facebook and Twitter, involve different approaches; yet you can use them very effectively for business. The main point about these sites is you cannot be an absent part of the equation, and that means interacting with your market. If you are not aware of the best ways for doing your internal site linking, then that is something you need to learn. Of course you need to build you site for your market, and this linking will naturally be helpful to them. There are many ways to lose visitors, and so you just do not want to make this issue the reason for that happening.
Content still matters very much online. You will see the best results in terms of site stickiness when your content is a good mix of formats. We are moving way out from the usual article type of content. Do some old fashioned market research, and then you know what to do with it. All right, one great example are videos simply because we all know how huge they are. An authority site is never stagnant, which is why you should update it on a regular basis. At least twice a week is our preferred approach when it comes to updating any site. You can rest later after you are an established authority site and not before. Your fresh content does not have to be extreme amounts, but it does need to happen one way or another.
